HELLO! I have been an avid follower of you blog for a long time now and find your information/photos absolutely indispensible!!! I am about to go to Marrakech on the 29th of January until the 3rd of February. We wanted to go to Essouria as well. Do you have any advice/places to go/things to do etc! Thank you so much. Jemima

I’m sure you already know to carve some time out to wander the big square, Djemaa el Fna, and the souks around it. There are some amazing hand-crafted goods to be had if you’re up for bargaining. Be ready for very aggressive shopkeepers, though. You should also try the hammams and get a good massage or a scrub!

I’ve never been to Essouira but it looks beautiful. If you’ve got some extra time and are willing to get a bit touristy, the camel treks into the Zagoura Desert are a great experience. You get to visit a couple old desert villages, sleep in a tent, and of course, ride a camel.
